Background Of Impressionism:
Before Impressionism there was Realism. Realism was a movement in France in 1830 to 1870. It was a revolt against Romanticism - a cultural movement that focused on emotions and praise. Realism came from reality, a realistic item which describes/shows the reality of everyday life. It got applied on a paper base using their sense of observation. Realism had no emotions or opinions. However it was a smooth style of painting that had less light colors and had a lot of shading. Realism artists were affected by the scientific theory where scientists were only concerned with reality and proving the observation, not on a theory people were told.
